For two centuries now Moleskine has been the legendary notebook of artists, writers, intellectuals and travelers. From gifted artists Henri Matisse (1869–1954) and Vincent van Gogh (1853–1890), to poet and leader of the surrealist movement André Breton (1896-1966) to Ernest Hemingway (1899-1961) considered the most influential writer of the last century, to famous travel writer Bruce Chatwin (1940-1989).
These notebooks have proven they can withstand the trials of travel and abuses that ensues from normal use. This is the one true trusted travel journal perfect for writings thoughts, sketching and jotting phone numbers.
Each book has a bound cover with rounded corners, acid free paper a bookmark an elastic closure and an expandable inner pocket good for receipts and loose paper. We prefer the large notebook (8.2″ high x 5″ wide). Opt for the ruled notebook to help keep your writing organized.
Hey, if it was good enough for Hemingway…

Found this limited edition Moleskine Helvetica book from the I Love Typography blog. You can show off what kind of design nerd you are sporting one of these.

These limited edition Moleskines were produced by the Helvetica Project especially for an exhibit at LaForet in Harajuku where a temporary “Helvetica Shop” selling products related to the font was set up.

the whole product line is great! They are a great size to carry anywhere and they come in handy anytime I have a rare thought or want to sketch an idea. The way the spine opens up makes it easy to flip open without impeding paper space. Seems stupid, but it makes a huge difference. Love it! : P
considering the day planner version… any pros or cons?

i can’t seem to get enough of these things. ruled, sketch pad, or the water color are my faves. the variety in sizes is also a big plus. you can also find the smaller ones cheaper than 18 bucks.
