Pure aural pleasure. This NY four-piece draw on their diverse backgrounds and interests, experimenting with African guitar music, the Western classical canon, hazy memories of Cape Cod summers, winters in upper Manhattan, and reggaeton. “Equal parts shruggy New York indie strumming and groovy Afro-pop, Vampire Weekend’s organ-and-drum runs highlight narratives about relationships, punctuation, and sometimes both” – Spin. Named “Hot New Kids” in Rolling Stone’s “Hot” issue.

You can listen to samples of their album on Amazon or try iTunes. Here’s a link to their site. All I can say is that I’m digging their music and am glad I stumbled onto it. Somehow I missed all the buzz and praise that they were getting from the likes of David Byrne and Lou Reed.

I just checked out the link to their site, they’ve got some really great music. Dope blog here, doughboy, I wish I had come across this site before the holidays for some good gift ideas.

Glad to see that you checked out the site. I plan on writing regularly so check back from time to time. I’d also recommend the Details style guide. Check it out.
